Sort and count groceries | October 26

Help sort and count the food donations that we collect during our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Join us after the 10:30am service on Sunday, October 26, to help us get prepared for all of our Thanksgiving projects.

Box Assembly and Packing | November 13

Families are invited to come together and assemble and pack boxes of Thanksgiving groceries on Thursday, November 13 from 6:30pm-8pm. Boxes will be put together and filled with all the groceries a family might need for Thanksgiving. Kids will also have the opportunity to color a card to put into the boxes. This is a great opportunity to serve with your family. Learn more and sign up below!

Mobile Food Pantry Volunteer | November 15

Sign up to help serve families in our community at our November Mobile Food Pantry at Alvin Brooks Middle School! You can help carry and sack groceries on Saturday, November 15, from 10am -12pm. Sign up to serve with the link below.

Thanksgiving Grocery Loading crew | November 22

You can help us load Thanksgiving boxes into cars as they go out to be delivered on Saturday, November 22, at 9:30am. Come ready to direct traffic, load boxes, and Turkeys into cars with us.

You can help deliver free Thanksgiving groceries for families in Lee’s Summit on Saturday, November 22 from 10am-1pm. The groceries will include a turkey (or turkey breast, depending on family size), veggies, mashed potatoes and more! It’s a great opportunity not only to meet the needs of people, but deliver the groceries right to their door, creating a personal interaction with each individual or family.

We’re hosting a food drive to collect non-perishable food items to distribute over Thanksgiving. All donations must be dropped off at The Summit Church by Sunday, October 26. Here’s the list of what to buy:

1 - Box Jiffy Corn Bread Mix
1 - 6oz. Boxed Stuffing Mix
1 - 14.5oz Canned Chicken Broth
1 - 0.87 Pack of Brown or Turkey Gravy Mix
2 - 14.5oz Canned Green Beans
2 - 15.25oz Canned Corn
1 - 8oz Family Size Instant Mashed Potatoes
1 - 14oz Canned Cranberry Sauce
1 - Box Spice Cake Mix
1 - Jar Vanilla Frosting
1 - Pack of Drink Mix (Kool-Aid or Crystal Light)
