FOR Project: Food Collection
Help fill The FOR Truck’s mobile food pantry on Sunday, June 1 and 8! Here’s what a family of 3-4 needs:
· 2 cans - Canned Meat (Tuna, Chicken, Spam, etc.)
· 3 cans - Vegetables (corn, green beans, peas, beans, canned tomatoes)
· 4 cans - Soups and Stews
· 3 cans - Canned Fruit
· 2 cans - Canned Broth (Chicken, Beef, Veggie)
· 2 cans - Beans
· 1 plastic jar - Peanut Butter
· 1 plastic jar - Pasta Sauce
Bring as much as you can. Please do not bring glass containers. We will be collecting the items in bins in the lobby.

Chapel Time Change
We're making a small but exciting change to our Sunday morning schedule! Starting June 1st, our Chapel Service will now begin an hour earlier at 8am. We know it's an adjustment, but we hope this new time will allow more time for community, discipleship and connection. To celebrate our first 8am service, we'll be serving delicious mini pancakes!

Jesus Through Us
Join us as we go through the devotional, Jesus Through Us, together as a church beginning June 1. This 90-day devotional takes us through the life of Jesus and how we can follow His example in our everyday lives. Devotionals are available for purchase in the lobby. You can also purchase them online here or download the app. Let’s grow together in community and learning about our Savior!

Volunteer for the Summit Lunch Program
Our Summit Lunch Program begins on June 3, 2025 and you’re invited to volunteer!
Each summer our team delivers nutritious lunches to kids in need in our city. It’s a great way to build relationships and be FOR kids and families in Lee’s Summit, all while meeting a need and sharing Jesus’ love. Registration online today!

Summer Party at The Gathering
Middle school and high school students are invited to a crazy fun summer kick-off at The Gathering. Join us Wednesday, June 4 from 6pm-8pm to enjoy hot dogs & burgers fresh off the grill, donut ice cream sundaes, and a summer relay with water games! This is a great night to get summer started and invite a friend!

Sip & Play
Sips Coffee at The Summit Church is hosting a pop-up Play Cafe for little ones, ages 0-4. Sip & Play is a get-together space for parents to sip on some lattes while kids play. Bring a friend or come meet other adults who are in the same stage of life.
Spots are limited, so you'll need to sign up online in advance for a 1-hour slot. We've got tons of fun stuff planned inside and outside on the patio – chalk, bubbles, and loads of toys. Adult supervision is required, and the coffee shop will be open to purchase lattes, donuts, and kid-friendly snacks!

Father's Day at The Summit Church
You’re invited to celebrate all the great men in your life this Father’s Day at The Summit Church in Lee’s Summit! This Father’s Day, all the guys can enjoy a free soda bar on the patio, mini golf course and enter to win a prize pack that includes a cooler full of meat to smoke, grill or prepare in anyway dad might love.
There will also be a great spot to take photos with the family. All the Father’s Day festivities will take place before and after services on Sunday, June 15.

Summit Women
Women are invited to join us for Summit Women, a women’s ministry gathering, where we will learn together, build connections, and create a strong community. Summit Women will meet on the third Thursday of every month. At this meeting, we’ll discuss faith and participate in a faith activity. We’ll talk together, pray together, hear from our women’s ministry team, and do a devotional together!
This month, we’re collecting items for Flourish Furniture Bank and will assemble kits during our time together. Here are the items needed for the kits: pitchers, hot pads/new dish towels, a full set of measuring cups or spoons, can openers, peelers, rubber scrapers, spatulas and large mixing spoons. Connect Lunch
Whether you’ve been here for 30 minutes or 3 years, we want to connect with you! That’s why we’re hosting a connect lunch after the 10:30am service on Sunday, June 22. This free lunch will allow you to meet other people in the church, get to know more about the church, and ask any questions you may have. This is a great way to get a little more plugged in, no matter how long you’ve been attending. Join us for lunch by signing up with the link below.

Kids Camp at The Summit Church
The Summit Church Kids Camp brings the ultimate day camp right to our neighborhood, combining fun, faith and friendship into an action-packed week. Kids will cultivate their God-given skills and talents with a mix of indoor and outdoor moments, physical activity and creative play, with epic adventures at camp all day and sleeping soundly back at home at night. Registration includes two snacks per day, a camp t-shirt, and five days of camp: Monday to Thursday 7:45AM-5:00PM and Friday 7:45AM-12PM.
This year, we’re partnering with Connect to bring your child the best camp experience! Connect Camps commit to teaching Christ-centered truths every day to every camper. The foundations taught will be engaging and memorable so kids can hide these truths in their hearts and grow in their faith. Learn more and register here.

Student Camp
This 4-day camp experience is designed for 6th-12th grade students and is happening August 4-7 at The Summit Church. This is a great chance for students to have fun, build community, and learn more about how following Jesus makes us better and better at life. This meeting will allow you to find all the ways you can serve and connect to our church. We will talk in depth about serving inside and outside the four walls of our church and find the best place for you to jump in and get connected with both our church and the community! This is our framework for growth and next steps at The Summit. This meeting will help you know and understand this language well and give you the tools to grow in each of these areas. Senior Night at The Gathering
On Wednesday, May 7 we will be celebrating seniors from 6pm-8pm at The Gathering. Whether your student has attended just a couple of times or comes every week, we want to have them here and spend time recognizing their accomplishment and enjoy some cupcakes together! All grades are encouraged to attend as we honor our graduating seniors. Seniors and their families should register in advance with the link below.

Running of the Beds
Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun at Running of the Beds on April 26th at The Summit Church! Hosted by Flourish—Kansas City’s only furniture bank—this thrilling bed race features 20 teams racing beds on wheels to help provide free beds and furniture to 1,500 homes this year. We need YOU to make it happen! Gather your crew and sign up a bed racing team here.
Not a racer? No problem! We are also looking for volunteers to help with everything from running carnival games to managing race teams.

Flourish Serve Op
Learn about serving with The Summit's Mission Partner, Flourish Furniture Bank. This is a great time to see what Flourish does, take a tour of their facility and serve in one of many areas (wordworking, sorting, sewing and more). There are two times you can choose from, both with limited space!

Easter Jam in Lee's Summit
Experience family Easter Fun in Lee’s Summit at The Summit Church! Join us for a petting zoo with bunnies and chicks, a barbecue dinner, Easter programming, and a helicopter egg drop! Anyone from the Lee’s Summit or Kansas City community is invited to attend.
The helicopter easter egg drop will take place at 4:15pm.
This Easter experience is happening Saturday, April 19, from 3pm-5pm. Services begin at 3pm and 5pm with the Easter Jam in between. Check out all the Easter service information here.

Easter Baptism Request
This Easter we’ll celebrating baptisms together! Baptism is an outward sign of your decision to follow Jesus. Adults can take the step of baptism as a public declaration of their own personal commitment to Jesus this Easter, April 19-20.

You’re invited to celebrate Easter with The Summit Church! This Easter, we’ll be reminded of the hope we can have each and everyday because of what Jesus did for us years ago.

Please bring your own lawn chair for the sunrise service.
Following the 3pm service on Saturday, we will be hosting a fun Easter celebration in our parking lot! We will have free dinner with Operation Barbecue Relief, bunnies and chicks to pet that evening and a helicopter egg drop!
On Sunday, there will be delicious brunch boards and coffee, photo opportunities, and more family fun!

Good Friday Service
You’re invited to our Good Friday service in person on Friday, April 18 at 6:30pm. Through live music and teaching, we will walk through the final days of Jesus’ life together. This service will help you prepare for Easter as we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for us!
Childcare will be available to kids up to age 5 with registration in advance.

Join us at the movies! Families at the Summit are taking over the movies on Tuesday, April 15. We will be watching the movie, King of Kings at Longview 7’s B&B theatre. This is a great event for the whole family that allows for continued conversation about Jesus as we head into Easter. This is also a great opportunity to invite a family you know to join you! Join us on Sunday, April 13 as we celebrate Palm Sunday! Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and we will remember that by having Summit Kids participate in a Palm Parade at each service. Join us at our 9am or 10:30 services as we honor the beginning of Holy Week with a special treat from Summit Kids!

If you’ve been around The Summit for a while you’ve probably heard us say we’re a church FOR our community. But what does that mean for you? Join us for a Vision Brunch on Saturday, April 12 at 10am as we learn about what the outreach and missions team have planned for this year and beyond. This is a great opportunity to learn about how you can partner with us in making a positive impact in our community.

A Very Summit Christmas
You’re invited to a very special evening to kick off Christmas on Friday, December 6! The Lee’s Summit community is invited for A Very Summit Christmas from 6pm-8pm. We’ll begin the Christmas season with the very best holiday classic songs, some great refreshments, interactive fun for kids and more.
The fun will begin in our lobby at 6pm with refreshments, live music on the grand piano and a chance to shop some local vendors for Christmas gifts. The concert will begin in the Worship Center at 6:30pm.
This program is designed for everyone (young & old) to kick off the season together. It’s a great opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor!

Help wrap gifts at Crittenton Children's Center for residents this Christmas season! It’s a great way to invest in the care of the kids at Crittenton during this holiday season.

Thanksgiving Grocery Delivery
This Thanksgiving at The Summit, we are providing an opportunity for you to make a larger impact in our community and around the world! We will be providing and delivering groceries to those in need in Lee’s Summit on Saturday, November 23. This will allow families to make their own Thanksgiving meal for their family on Thanksgiving Day. Register below!

For Project: thanksgiving Box Assembly and Packing
Families are invited to come together on Thursday, November 14 from 6pm-8pm and assemble and pack boxes of Thanksgiving groceries. Boxes will be put together and filled with all the groceries a family might need for Thanksgiving. This is a great opportunity to serve with your family. Register below!

Summit Seniors - Lunch Gathering
Our next Summit Seniors gathering is coming up on Wednesday, November 13 at 11:30am! You’re invited to join us for fellowship and lunch as we learn about gifts, gratitude, and serving. We’ll talk about the way we can give a gift to our families through personal planning and, we will be collecting items to give as gifts to support Pro Deo Youth Center.
Items needed for Pro Deo: individual chips, Pringles, Cheez-Its, Takis (hot chips), individual Mac N Cheese Bowls, Noodle Bowls/Ramen, Little Debbie Snacks, Fruit Snacks, Gushers, Pop-Tarts
Summit Seniors is designed for people ages 55 and over to gather with others in the same stage of life and experience the joy that comes from growing your faith in community. You will enjoy food, fellowship and teaching about Jesus and build lasting relationships that will encourage your spiritual journey.

FOR Project: Christmas Gift Assistance
Have you ever felt like you were meant for more? The consumer-driven, self-centered focus of culture can be overwhelming and tiring. We want you to experience something greater. That’s why we’re kicking off Rooted beginning September 9 from 6:30pm-8pm. Rooted is a 10-week small-group experience, where you will practice 7 rhythms essential to a healthy relationship with Jesus. During this experience, you will establish firm roots in the Truth of God’s Word through personal study and then come together to discuss what you’re learning in a small-group setting. Anyone is invited to participate, and learn what it truly means to live a life that reflects Jesus.

THE BIG GIVE
The Big Give is a fundraising event hosted by The Summit Church that raises money to fight hunger, homelessness, and poverty in the Lee’s Summit community and around the world.
Join us at Lone Summit Ranch in Lee’s Summit Friday, September 13 from 6pm to 9pm as we come together to raise funds to be FOR others and help people experience the love of Jesus.
