You may have heard talk surrounding the government shutdown and SNAP benefits. Here are the highlights:
The federal shutdown has led to a lapse in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) funding. This program was created to help low-income households buy food.
Due to the ongoing shutdown, it's very likely that many people will not receive full benefits this month.

Give & Serve This Thanksgiving
There are several ways you can help feed families in our community this Thanksgiving. From packing groceries, to volunteering at our mobile food pantry, to delivering grocery boxes to families, there's a place for you to step in and help out. All of our Thanksgiving serving opportunities are available for registration with the link below.
If you aren't able to make one of the serving events or want to make an even bigger impact, you can give. It costs about $35 for one grocery box. You can sponsor one or more boxes by donating to our Thanksgiving boxes with the link below. Just select 'Thanksgiving' under the fund dropdown.
Support Local Food Pantries
Many food pantries are experiencing higher demand right now. You can help them through serving, making a gift, or donating food. Check out some of the places in our community that could use your support:
